Costa Mesa – South Coast Repertory (SCR) has unveiled an exciting lineup for its 2025-26 season, featuring two world premieres and a selection of productions recognized with Tony Awards. The announcement was made on May 7, sparking enthusiasm among theater-goers eager for innovative and acclaimed theatrical experiences.

Among the highlights of the upcoming season is the return of the iconic show “Million Dollar Quartet,” which will grace the SCR stage from September 13 to October 11. This production promises to attract a significant audience, showcasing the talents of its cast as they celebrate the legendary 1956 jam session featuring music greats like Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins.

Additionally, SCR will present two critically acclaimed plays, featuring Edward Albee’s “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf” and Yasmina Reza’s “God of Carnage,” running in repertory from January 23 through March 21. This repertory run, lasting eight weeks, ranks among the longest in the theater’s history and is being marketed as “The Theatrical Event of the Season.” Audiences will have the unique opportunity to experience both plays on the same weekend or even on the same day.

Throughout the season, additional productions will include “The Heart Sellers” by Lloyd Suh, scheduled for October 26 – November 16, and “A Christmas Carol,” celebrating its 45th year from November 29 to December 28. The lineup also features a bilingual musical, “Cinderella: A Salsa Fairy Tale,” which will run from February 8 to 20. The world premiere of “Fremont Ave.” by Reggie D. White is set for April 25 – May 23, 2026, followed by “Hershey Felder, Beethoven,” which will include a special “Great American Songbook Sing-Along” event on June 14, 2026.

For those interested in attending the season’s performances, full-season subscriptions range in price from $290 to $518, excluding select productions. Theater enthusiasts can also choose from a four-play Segerstrom Stage subscription, priced between $200 and $352, or a two-play Argyros Stage subscription costing between $102 and $178. Season subscribers will benefit from early access to tickets for select popular shows.

SCR is also making theater accessible with $40 Family Fun Memberships, which provide discounts and early ticket access for families. This initiative aims to encourage a love for theater among younger audiences and their families.

For those seeking more information about the season and upcoming productions, inquiries can be directed to SCR by calling 714-708-5555 or visiting their official website at scr.org.
