The crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of Segerstrom Avenue and Griset Place, where a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed collided with a tree.

Authorities reported that six individuals were in the vehicle at the time of the accident, including five females and an 18-year-old male driver, identified as Emanuel Gonzalez Martinez. Four occupants were pronounced dead at the scene: 20-year-old Arely Robles, 17-year-old Natalia Vidal Zarate, and 16-year-old Jacqueline Torres Zarate. Gonzalez Martinez, the driver, was also among the deceased.

A fifth victim, 13-year-old Cinthia Torres, was taken to the hospital but later declared brain dead. Additionally, a 15-year-old female passenger remains hospitalized in stable condition.
