Santa Ana – A tragic high-speed collision in Santa Ana on Saturday night, April 5, 2025, resulted in the deaths of four teenagers and left two others injured. The crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of Segerstrom Avenue and Griset Place, where a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed collided with a tree.
Authorities reported that six individuals were in the vehicle at the time of the accident, including five females and an 18-year-old male driver, identified as Emanuel Gonzalez Martinez. Four occupants were pronounced dead at the scene: 20-year-old Arely Robles, 17-year-old Natalia Vidal Zarate, and 16-year-old Jacqueline Torres Zarate. Gonzalez Martinez, the driver, was also among the deceased.
A fifth victim, 13-year-old Cinthia Torres, was taken to the hospital but later declared brain dead. Additionally, a 15-year-old female passenger remains hospitalized in stable condition. Preliminary investigations suggest that at least two passengers were ejected from the vehicle during the crash, contributing to the fatalities.
The scene of the collision revealed significant debris, prompting concerns about impacts on other vehicles in the area; however, no injuries were reported among individuals in those vehicles.
