In a related effort, Irvine Police have arrested five individuals associated with a burglary that occurred on Easter Sunday in the Great Park area. These individuals are believed to belong to a transnational organized crime ring implicated in at least five burglaries across Southern California. The suspects disguised themselves as delivery workers to gain access to homes, as captured by home security cameras.

One burglary victim, Guolin Wang, reported a devastating experience where his home was ransacked, resulting in the loss of critical documents, credit cards, and property valued at tens of thousands of dollars. Surveillance footage reveals a woman knocking on Wang’s door while the family was away for brunch, shortly followed by suspects entering through a side window.

During the investigation, Irvine Chief of Police Michael Kent confirmed the arrest of a suspect posing as a food delivery driver after he was unable to provide a customer’s address. This pivotal arrest led to extensive investigative efforts, yielding the recovery of hundreds of thousands of dollars in suspected stolen property from two homes and a storage unit located in Fontana and Colton. The recovered items included cash, jewelry, designer handbags, and four firearms, three of which have already been confirmed as stolen.

Authorities have identified five suspects charged with various offenses related to the Easter burglary and an attempted break-in that occurred shortly before on May 14. The suspects are named as Jesus Antonio Hernandez Chavez, 42; John Fredy Sanabria, 42; Duber Salarte, 48; Jhon Marlon Osorioarias, 24; and Isneidy Ortizvalencia, 29. They face multiple counts of burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, and possession of narcotics.
