Orange, California – The Orange Coast College (OCC) softball team has wrapped up a historic season, finishing with a remarkable record of 33 wins and 9 losses, marking the best performance in over 20 years. Their success includes a coveted spot in the 3C2A Softball State Championships, the first in the program since 1993. The Pirates proved to be a formidable team this season, clinching the Orange Empire Conference (OEC) with a record of 15-3.

Star player Jasmyn Morales was instrumental in the team’s success, earning recognition as the Orange Empire Conference Player of the Year and securing a place on the 3C2A South All-State Team. Morales topped the conference in home runs and was a standout contributor in runs batted in, slugging percentage, and extra base hits. Other key players included Mackenzie Koshi, who was honored with the 2025 Cal JC Rawlings Gold Glove Award for her excellence at second base, boasting an impressive .983 fielding percentage.

Additionally, Kelsey McNair was selected to the 3C2A All-Southern Team, leading the Pirates with a .405 batting average and a 0.90 earned run average (ERA) on the mound. Daniella Sanchez, also part of the 3C2A All-Southern Team, had an outstanding season with a 13-1 record and an ERA of 2.23.
