Forever Ageless Inc., a Newport Beach medspa specializing in aesthetics treatments, has reported a significant growth of 9.8% in business following its recognition with a Business Journal Family-Owned Business Award in May. The award was given in the medium-sized company category, and the company has continued to thrive despite challenges in the local aesthetics market.
Zara Cerni, a co-owner of Forever Ageless, remarked that this growth is beneficial for the aesthetics industry as a whole, highlighting a resilient demand for aesthetic treatments amidst increasing competition. In recent years, new businesses have opened in the local area, intensifying competition within the sector.
Founded in 2008 by brothers Joe and Michael Cerni, along with Michael’s wife Zara, Forever Ageless has cultivated a reputation for quality and personalized service in the aesthetics field. Joe and Michael Cerni have a long work history together, spanning 45 years across two different businesses prior to launching Forever Ageless.
The medspa operates with a devoted staff of 40 employees, many of whom have been part of the company for over a decade. Zara Cerni emphasizes building trust and loyalty with her employees, whom she affectionately refers to as her “kids.” The commitment to fostering a supportive workplace culture contributes to the company’s success.
Forever Ageless generates approximately $12 million in annual revenue and maintains a solid client base, with around 15% of its clientele being male. The facility offers a variety of services, including injections, body sculpting, hair rejuvenation, and skin tightening treatments.
The aesthetics industry has seen a surge in competition due to the introduction of new neuromodulators beyond the traditional options of Botox and Dysport. Products like Jeuveau and Daxxify have gained popularity among consumers, who are also influenced by celebrity experiences related to aesthetic treatments.
Despite these challenges, fillers remain a crucial part of Forever Ageless’s offerings, and the company aims to guide patients in their treatment choices. Instead of relying solely on model photos for reference, Forever Ageless encourages clients to consider images from their youth to create realistic expectations for their aesthetic goals.
In an effort to accommodate increasing demand and enhance service offerings, Forever Ageless acquired a new 11,900-square-foot building in Newport Beach, conveniently located near John Wayne Airport. This expansion allows the company to host more community events, such as a themed card promotion event for Mother’s Day.
As the company attracts patients from southern Orange County, there are discussions of opening a potential second location in Laguna Niguel. Zara Cerni is also exploring partnership opportunities with private equity firms to facilitate further expansion.
Joe and Michael Cerni, both trained doctors, transitioned into the aesthetics field after retiring from general practice, continuing their family’s legacy of entrepreneurship. Their grandfather worked in Kentucky’s coal mines and was known for creating an early version of bourbon called “White Dog,” emphasizing the Cerni family’s long-standing commitment to business and resilience.
In addition to its main services, the building’s top floor houses two additional businesses: BrowHouse, which specializes in micro-blading and brow tattooing, and Culture OC, offering therapies that include hyperbaric oxygen treatments and sensory deprivation float tanks. This collaborative setup reflects Forever Ageless’s ethos of fostering family bonds, loyalty, and teamwork among its employees.
Forever Ageless remains one of the top ten clients of Allergan Aesthetics, the manufacturer of Botox, underscoring its prominent position within the aesthetics market.
