During the events leading to the crash, a group of suspects reportedly smashed the rear windshield of a parked 2024 Ram 1500 TRX near Newport Beach. Following the alarm triggered by the incident, the suspects broke into a nearby 2022 Ram 1500 TRX and fled the scene, prompting the Newport Beach Police Department to pursue the stolen vehicle.
As law enforcement pursued the stolen vehicle, it ultimately crashed into a power pole, resulting in severe damage.
