In July, Costa Mesa is set to host a diverse array of events including concerts, a musical premiere, and the OC Fair. Highlights include the American Ballet Theatre’s performance of ‘Giselle,’ a concert by Brothers Osborne, and numerous community activities. Attendees can enjoy family-friendly events such as Concerts in the Park, featuring local bands and food trucks. Costa Mesa and surrounding areas are buzzing with activity in July 2023, featuring a diverse lineup of entertainment including Broadway musicals, concert performances, and community fairs. Notably, A Beautiful Noise, a musical chronicling the life of legendary singer Neil Diamond, is set to open on July 29 at Segerstrom Hall.
Alongside the theatrical debut, music lovers can anticipate a thrilling performance from the acclaimed country duo Brothers Osborne on July 24 at the Pacific Amphitheatre. The brothers, known for hit tracks like “Finish this Drink” and “Stay A Little Longer,” have seen significant acclaim, including numerous awards and billions of global streams.
In addition to musical events, the American Ballet Theatre will present the classic ballet Giselle from July 24-27. This performance captures a poignant story of love and heartbreak, focusing on the character Giselle who dies upon discovering her lover’s engagement to another.

Nearby, in Brea, the Concerts in the Park series will feature the Sangria Band on July 23 and Rayford Bros on July 30, providing additional opportunities for outdoor musical enjoyment. The OC Parks Summer Concert Series will also provide vibrant entertainment with performances from The Pistol Blond on July 24 and Dream Like Taylor on July 31, showcasing country music and Taylor Swift covers.
On July 25, the OC Parks Sunset Cinema will screen the popular film Miss Congeniality, complete with food trucks and a beer and wine garden for attendees. Furthermore, the QUITAPENAS, an Afro-Latin rhythm group, will take the stage at the Summer Sounds Concert Series, also on July 25 at Argyros Plaza.
For theater enthusiasts, the New Swan Shakespeare Festival will present two classic plays, All’s Well That Ends Well and Much Ado About Nothing, throughout July in Irvine, offering audiences a chance to enjoy timeless stories under the stars.
Lastly, the ongoing performance of Spring Awakening, a Tony Award-winning musical that explores themes of self-discovery in the 1800s, is featured at the Chance Theater in Anaheim throughout the month.
