When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Monserrat Colorado, a resident of Huntington Beach, on the sidewalk suffering from several gunshot wounds. Immediate medical assistance was provided by the police, which was subsequently taken over by Costa Mesa Fire & Rescue. Colorado was rushed to a nearby hospital; however, she succumbed to her injuries shortly after arrival.
