Project Hope Alliance aims to support families through community-driven efforts and continue its mission to tackle homelessness in Orange County.

Irvine, California – Rob Poetsch, founder of Rob Poetsch & Associates and former Senior Director of Global Communications at Taco Bell, has joined the board of Project Hope Alliance. This nonprofit organization focuses on ending child homelessness, with a mission to combat the issue one child at a time.

Project Hope Alliance operates from its headquarters located at 18500 Von Karman Ave., Ste. 150, Irvine, California, 92612. The organization has recently initiated changes to its annual “Hope for the Holidays” program, transitioning from the traditional “adopt-a-family” model to a more inclusive holiday boutique. This boutique allows parents facing homelessness the opportunity to shop for gifts for their children, fostering a sense of agency and dignity during challenging times.

CEO Jennifer Friend has highlighted that this innovative approach not only provides necessary resources but also honors the dignity of parents who are navigating tough situations. This reflects the organization’s commitment to empowering families and giving them the agency to choose and wrap gifts themselves, rather than merely receiving them.

On the fundraising front, Project Hope Alliance recently hosted its third annual “Anti-Gala” at Strawberry Farms Golf Club, which attracted over 250 local philanthropists and leaders. The event successfully raised $250,000, funds that are enough to secure permanent housing for more than 150 children in Orange County. The gala featured live performances from the folk band Faultlines and singer-songwriter Christina Perri, along with an auction that included various items ranging from retreats to meet-and-greet opportunities.

In addition to its fundraising efforts, Project Hope Alliance is committed to providing innovative education and rapid rehousing programs designed to support children and families. A recent initiative called Trunk & Pack was organized in partnership with the local company beek to further cater to the needs of homeless children. During this event, children participated in filling bags with food collected from car trunks as part of a community food drive. This initiative not only supported families in need but also involved local parents and children in the act of giving, fostering community engagement and collaboration.

Project Hope Alliance continues to work diligently towards their mission of ending child homelessness in Orange County, using innovative programs and community support to pave the way for affected families. With the recent changes to their holiday program and successful fundraising efforts, the organization demonstrates a strong commitment to uplift those in need and provide lasting solutions to homelessness.

The partnership with Rob Poetsch further enriches the expertise and resources available to Project Hope Alliance, as it seeks to expand its reach and enhance its programs for families experiencing homelessness. By continuously adapting to the needs of the community and focusing on creative solutions, Project Hope Alliance aims to make a significant impact on the epidemic of child homelessness in the region.
